We first knew each other through church youth activities—just familiar faces, without ever really talking.
Our paths crossed again in Semarang while Ariel was serving as a church missionary and I was in college, but we remained nothing more than brief greetings.
After going through past relationships, we both came to realize the same desire—to build a relationship with someone from the same faith, so we could share similar perspectives, values, and standards in life.
Then came the pandemic. While it was a difficult time for many, for us it became the beginning of something meaningful. When Ariel returned to Indonesia, he finally asked me out—turning simple familiarity into a chance to truly know each other.
Through time and conversations, we grew closer. With sincere intentions, we began our relationship and chose not to rush, but to grow together as each other’s support system.
After four years, with certainty and love, Ariel took the next step… and asked me to spend an eternal life together.
