"Dan di antara tanda-tanda (kebesaran)-Nya ialah Dia menciptakan pasangan-pasangan untukmu dari jenismu sendiri, agar kamu cenderung dan merasa tenteram kepadanya, dan Dia menjadikan di antaramu rasa kasih dan sayang. Sungguh, pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda (kebesaran Allah) bagi kaum yang berpikir."
Surat Ar-Rum 30 : 21
THE GROOM
Tio Fadhlan Nugroho Saniskoro
Son of Mr. Gunawan Saniskoro & Mrs. Arry Widyastuti
Silmi and Tio had been best friends since high school, always joking that love wasn’t something they needed. Silmi was focused on her career, and Tio was too absorbed in his dreams. They didn’t believe love would ever come their way.
One evening, as they sat sipping coffee, Silmi said, "I don’t get this whole ‘love will find you’ thing."
"Yeah, it’s kind of a joke," Tio agreed, tossing a stone into the pond. They laughed, but a quiet shift passed between them, an unspoken understanding.
Days went by, and little by little, their friendship began to change. Silmi noticed Tio’s eyes lighting up when he talked about his dreams, and Tio couldn’t help but admire how Silmi’s laugh made everything feel right. They didn’t talk about it, but there was a growing warmth between them.
One evening, Tio stopped as they walked through the city. "Silmi," he said softly, "Do you think love finds you when you're not looking?"
Silmi’s heart skipped a beat. "Maybe. But we’ve never believed in that."
Tio smiled, his eyes steady. "Maybe we didn’t need to. Maybe it was always here."
And in that moment, Silmi realized love hadn’t come in some dramatic way—it had quietly grown between them all along. It had found them at the perfect time, when they least expected it.
